Congratulations to our Lady HAWK Volleyball team on completing their 18th consecutive undefeated District Season last night by defeating West Mesquite in straight sets.
Our first play off game will be against Ennis, Monday, November 3, at Ennis at 7:00. Red Oak will be the visiting team. Tickets will be $4 for adults and $3 for students. District passes and State Coaches passes will be accepted. Faculty passes will not be accepted. Let’s fill the Gym as we begin our run toward State.
Directions: Take I-35 south to 287 east. Go past the Motorplex and take the to Corsicana exit (this is a split stay to the left) (Do NOT take Ennis business to the right). Take HWY 34 exit and turn left at the light. Go past the high school to the first light. Turn right on Ensign and pull into the third driveway on the right.

Hawk Eye News goes inside the construction area of the New Red Oak High School to take a look at the NEW Tennis Courts & Baseball / Softball fields taking shape. New slabs have been poured for two new courts. Construction crews can be seen working almost every day moving the earth and preparing the land for the new campus structure. The sports facilities WILL BE READY for Spring 09 use! Some 900 beams will be set in place to support the high schools foundation. Storm and sewer lines are currently being installed as well as underground utility lines. Hawk Eye News will keep you updated on the progress of the NEW high school stay tuned.
Red Oak Graduate, Michelle Carter, qualified for the 2008 Summer Olympics after recording the farthest distance in the shot put. Carter threw for 18.85 meters (61-10.25) to earn a spot on the U.S. squad that will compete in Beijing later this summer.
