Many great things are happening in our ATHLETIC Department in Red Oak! 

First, CONGRATULATIONS to our VOLLEYBALL team as they have made it through to the Regional Quarter Finals vs. Midlothian at Mansfield Timberview Tuesday, November 11th at 7:30pm.  Ticket prices are $5 for Adult and $3 for Students – District and Coaches passes will be accepted.  NO Faculty passes will be accepted.

Second, CONGRATULATIONS for our FOOTBALL team as they have advanced to the playoffs for a second year in a row!!  Our boys will play Ennis at Cedar Hill this Friday, November 14th  at 8:00 pm. 

Advance tickets will be available at all campuses starting Tuesday, November 11th.  Prices are $7 for Adults, $4 for Students – all tickets are $8 at the gate.  NO Faculty passes are allowed. GO HAWKS!!!  Beat those LIONS!!

Lady Hawks BEAT Longview in 2nd Round Playoffs!!
Game 1 W 20-10
Game 2 W 25-08
Game 3 W 25-10

 

The Lady Hawks after their 3 game win over Ennis travelled to Wills Point to take on the Lady Lobos of Longview from district 13-4 A. The Lady Hawks came out focused and had one thing on their mind moving to the next round.

It was evident early that the Lady Hawks were just too much for Longview as they spiked, blocked, and served their way to a quick 25-9 victory in game one. Changing sides did not matter to the ladies as Andrea McQuaid, Jennifer Lawson, Hunter Porter, and Dana Hilzendager smoked shot after shot past Longview in route to a 25-8 game two victory.

Longview fans had little to cheer about but a strong student support group from Red Oak had lots to yell about as the Lady Hawks swept Longview in game three 25-10. Game, set, match Lady Hawks. The Ladies would then set the stage to play the runner up of district 16-4A the Midlothian Lady Panthers on November 11th at Mansfield Timberview. Lady Hawks face Midlothian Next Tuesday at 7:30pm at Mansfield Timberview.

FORNEY – A 91-yard run highlighted a huge night for Peter Smith as he, along with Blake Branton, helped Forney (9-1, 5-1) overcome a 14-point deficit early in the first quarter to beat Red Oak (4-6, 3-3), 44-30. Smith finished the game with 263 yards rushing and three touchdowns, while Branton ran for 166 and threw for 90 yards and scored three touchdowns. Read ther Full Report!

ROHS kicked off the Hawks Basketball & Swim season!  Teams were introduced on Friday, October 31st after the football game in the ROHS gymnasium.
